This year brings a new focus with several segment-specific days!

  • Trends and contemporary user-related issues
  • Tailored presentation and workshop format on two exclusive days
  • Inspirational ideas with concrete examples illustrating their implementation
Inspiration Concept Decoration

Together with our partners the German Council of Shopping Centers e.V. (GCSC) and Bundesvereinigung City- und Stadtmarketing Deutschland e.V. (BCSD,German Federal Association of City Marketing), Messe Frankfurt has created a meeting place for interaction and inspiration involving top decision-makers in the concept decoration field.

Aside from networking, contact and discussions in the themed VIP Lounge, you will be able to enjoy it and its facilities as a retreat EVERY day of the exhibition.

Selecting your itinerary:

Friday 27.1.2017 sees international trend researcher, Richard van Hooijdonk, presents the paper entitled “Trends 2030”.

And then, on Monday, 30.1.2017, we have timetabled a presentation entitled “Deine Stadt – Deine Menschen – frischer Wind in die Stadt” (Your City – Your People – Breathing New Life into the Metropolis).

Our inspirational speaker, Stefan Suchanek, will demonstrate to you how you can delight your inhabitants, guests, retailers and commercial interests with sensible yet sensitive, sensual and exciting street and city decorations. With knowledge from evolution biology, brain research and design theory, you can learn how to revive your inner cities and shopping boulevards to optimum effect.

Who is Premium for?

The programme brings industry experts from academia and commercial interests, premium exhibitors and you as key buyers of concept decorations around one table. Membership of the Premium Business Programme is free of charge and without obligation.

Statements

Andreas Dörr, CBRE Shopping Center Management

"Innovations are progressing in leaps and bounds. We can’t put everything that’s possible into motion immediately, but what we can do is introduce small adjustments. For me, Premium is always a look 'outside the box'. As a big fan of Christmas, I am extremely inspired by the product range and inspirations that Christmasworld has to offer."

Andreas Dörr, CBRE Shopping Center Management

Marcus Eggers, ECE Turkey, Istanbul

"The subjects we’re focusing on today are exactly those which move me at the moment: digital transformation, innovations, as discussed by the panel, and Turkey. We run 15 shopping centres there and have a very young audience. This target group has a different expectation of the ‘third living space’. They use digital media in a different way. We must come up with more innovative ideas."

Marcus Eggers, ECE Turkey, Istanbul

Claudia Richter-Marx, Thomas Marx, Tourist-Info Traben-Trarbach

"The lectures are of a high quality every year. We’ve been here right from the beginning and are also keen to come back next year. The Christmasworld itself is also important for us as we like to supply something new every year to make the Christmas market there attractive for visitors."

Claudia Richter-Marx, Thomas Marx, Tourist-Info Traben-Trarbach

Doris Brüning & Sebastian Schürmann, AHAUS, Marketing &Touristik

"We think that today’s programme is not only valuable for shopping centres, but also for the urban developers. Temporary pop-up store like the store2be concept of Dr. Marlon Braumann could be a good approach to reviving the empty units in town centres."

Doris Brüning & Sebastian Schürmann, AHAUS, Marketing &Touristik

Walter Sager, Der Beleuchter, Augsburg

"The participants on the podium were very young. This is indicative of a high level of movement in the sector. It is no longer contemporary to use the same Christmas decorations for ten or 20 years. We need to make town centres much more attractive. We could use ECE’s Future Labs in the town centres as well!"

Walter Sager, Der Beleuchter, Augsburg

Thorsten Kemp, Koprian iO, Hamburg

"We have had a lot of time today to look at virtual worlds, but there wasn’t enough about physical retail outlets for me, where I’d like to see more self confidence and a stronger presence - on the podium, for example. Shopping centres have a whole range of things to offer in the physical world."

Thorsten Kemp, Koprian iO, Hamburg
