Messe Frankfurt revamped the concept of its fifth Premium Business Programme for Christmasworld 2017. In the past four years, shopping centre managers and operators, retailers, real estate companies, urban marketing strategists, designers and design agencies met up on the first day of Christmasworld for a joint Premium event with a high-calibre programme of lectures. For the fifth edition, the organisers individualised the concept and initiated a dedicated theme day for each target group. Friday, which was organised jointly with the GCSC, was devoted to shopping centre managers and operators, whereas Monday focused exclusively on urban marketing strategists in collaboration with the German Federal Association of City Marketing (bcsd).
"I was pleased with the separation of the Premium event into two parts. Here is where the sector's decision makers meet and where innovations are presented. I like the atmosphere in the new Lounge. It's extremely comfortable and personal,"commented Olaf Deistler of LaSalle GmbH as he described the revamp of the Christmasworld Premium location. The move to Café Elf created a communicative atmosphere and – because of its position next to Hall 11.0 – it also brought participants closer to relevant exhibitors of large-scale illumination and decoration concepts.

“I very often speak in front of several thousand people. At the Premium Lounge, by contrast, the atmosphere is distinctly personal. I really like that. Speaking to such a small group makes the whole thing very dynamic and enables in-depth communication. I'd really like to organise a Future Lab with visitors and create a Christmas celebration of the future – we need experiments and we need initiative,”said keynote speaker Richard van Hooijdonk when asked about the atmosphere in the Lounge.
