Events: "The spirit of celebration" at Christmasworld

Every year at Christmasworld since 2007, you have been able to learn about the traditional festivals of other countries.
The first year, visitors to the trade fair were able to experience the spectacular ‘Las Fallas’ spring festival as it is celebrated in Valencia in Spain.

In 2008 we went north with the Swedish ‘Midsommar’ and ‘Sankta Lucia’ festivals.

In 2009 it is all about horror and kitsch with presentations of ‘Halloween’ and ‘Valentine's Day’, two popular festivals in the USA.
In times past, Irish immigrants took overseas the tradition of celebrating the evening before All Saints’ Day ("All Hallows' Eve") with fires and masquerades to mark the beginning of winter. Valentine’s Day, the day for lovers, is all about feelings of spring.
